☘ My Favorite Youtuber Yousef Erakat

Through him, I can see someone who's fighting the same fight as I am.

I can see someone who sometimes got lost in his life wondering where to go just like I sometimes do.

I can see someone who wants to be better and fight to be better everyday just like I do.

I can see how dream motivates a man and law of attraction helps a man get closer to his dream day by day. And I need that.

When I first started watching YouTube, I just watched whatever YouTube recommended me to watch - so a lot of Nigahiga videos back then. I didn’t even realize how big a Youtuber he is and I thought YouTube recommended him cause they know I’m Asian somehow.

Anyway, when I got familiar with those Nigahiga videos I started searching through his channel and choose whatever video I’m interested in. One day, I saw a video named ‘Pranking Fouseytube!’ with a thumbnail written ‘Pranking a pranker!’ I immediately got interested cause a), I don’t fully understand the word ‘prank’ so I’d like to see if this word meant what I thought it meant. And b), back then and I’d very much like to see a prankster got pranked cause I hate when people doing awful pranks that has gone too far and laughing at their victims. Thus I’d like to find out how Ryan Higa got this annoying prankster - It was a good prank pulled by Ryan and he got Fouseytube really good.

When Fouseytube started screaming in Ryan’s video I was enjoying the video and at the same time wondering how on earth one of the most popular/biggest prankster on YouTube got scared so easily? Was he any good? How about his pranks? Cause Fouseytube back then was looking chubby and so harmless. I don’t believe he’s been able to be a good youtuber/prankster. I wanna find out whether or not his pranks were good so I went to his channel with multiple question marks on my mind. Later, I found myself convinced and been enjoying lots of his videos  - he is good -  most of his pranks are funny, well planned and most importantly, with moral boundary.

I began to choose from his pranks that I founded amusing through thumbnails and I saw this video where he pranked his puppy who was named Dollar.

I fell in love with Dollar immediately.

Dollar is a teacup yorkie and he just looks so adorable and my heart melts when I saw him in Fousey’s video. I wanna see more of him!

As most of you may or may not know, Youtubers nowadays usually have a main channel where they post their main content and a 2nd channel where they post BTS (Behind The Scenes) or simply their lives.

In order to see more of Dollar, I immediately thought of finding FouseyTube's 2nd channel and maybe Dollar will be there! And I was correct. I end up with finding out a new world - 'DoseOfFousey', a new word - 'Vlog' and FouseyTube’s real name - Yousef Erakat. DoseOfFousey is FouseyTube's 2nd channel where he Vlogs his life, almost everyday.

Through watching Yousef’s Vlogs on DOF, I found out about multiple sides of him - His dream of becoming a movie star/motivational speaker through doing YouTube, his way to success, his happiness, his sadness, his depression, etc. I feel like I found a real person instead of a YouTube charater behind my screen and I found myself a lot in common with him.

In order to pursue his dream, he moves from his hometown to Los Angeles. To do the same, me in the other hand, moves from my hometown to the Capital of China.

He is only 25 and in his grind ages, almost the same as me.

He has several dreams - to be a movie star, to be a motivational speaker and he believes in the law of attraction. I need to find my dream and achieve goals just like he does.

He’s not afraid to spend money cause he believes he can make more. I’m the same. We both have a spending issue. We buy things that are the best and we push ourselves to earn more in the future.

He usually is the socially awkward one among other people, prefers to sleep at home rather than go outside on weekends. Always sleep till afternoon cause why not.

He lives alone but treasures those who are around him. Sometimes he pushes people away/out of his life for no apparent reason. Me as well.

Among all those reasons I'd like to follow his life, I treasure this one the most -
He’s not a perfect person, but he’s not afraid to show it.

Most Stars, Youtubers, Daily Vloggers, what they show the audiences just make them see perfect. They're happy, successful, wealth and so on. Their lives are perfect, their lives should be your goals. They hardly have a bad day or bad mood. Some may say they're 'professional' at their jobs - vlogging so they don't bring people down. I like some of them as well but I know it's not life or how life suppose to be.

Yousef shows a real life, or at least a more likely real life to us - his addiction, his mental illness, his happiness and sadness, his success and struggles, everything.

I'm not a fan of Yousef, I consider him as a friend on the other end of my screen. There're haters out there bad-mouthing him everyday because of some of his behaviour. I won’t fight against those haters but I just wanna with Yousef the best of luck in life, in relationships, in pursuing happiness and in chasing his dreams.

I will continue to follow his journey as long as he decides to share.
